Are You Bothered By Your Stretch Marks?

At the Polyclinic MakeOver we have a solution for you!

Life leaves various traces on our body. The most stubborn changes include stretch marks, also called “treacherous stripes”. Along with cellulite, stretch marks are one of the most common ailments in women.

Despite the fact that they are not dangerous from a health point of view, stretch marks significantly affect self-confidence and change the perception of female beauty.

Although they are considered to be exclusively a female issue, stretch marks are often present in the stronger sex as well.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE STRETCH MARKS?

Stretch marks are damages to the connective tissue caused by the skin stretching too fast.

WHY DO STRETCHES OCCUR?

There are several factors that lead to the formation of stretch marks.

They usually occur in conditions of sudden stretching of the skin, for example during puberty, due to sudden weight gain or during pregnancy.

With a sudden stretching of the skin, the connective tissue cannot adapt so quickly to the new situation and its damage occurs in the form of thinner and thicker lines.

In addition to the sudden stretching of the skin, the formation of stretch marks is significantly influenced by genetic factors and hormonal status.

In some people, the connective tissue is genetically of lower quality, has less collagen and elastin, which works in favor of the development of stretch marks.

Stretch marks often occur while taking oral contraceptives and during pregnancy.

During puberty, growth hormone is responsible for their appearance, which leads to accelerated growth in width and height.

Health problems involving the use of corticosteroid therapy also favor the development of stretch marks.

In the male population, stretch marks often occur in bodybuilders due to the use of anabolic steroids that cause a sudden and rapid increase in muscle mass that the skin cannot keep up with at the same rate.

WHERE DO STRETCHES APPEAR MOST OFTEN?

Stretch marks can occur on the chest, abdomen, thighs, hips, upper arms, thighs, buttocks and buttocks.

CAN STRETCHES BE COMPLETELY REMOVED?

Stretch marks unfortunately can never completely disappear!

What is certainly possible is to soften them to the point that they are almost invisible.

The width of the stretch marks (the wider the stretch marks, the harder it is to remove), as well as their depth, is crucial for success.

WHAT METHODS OF STRETCH MARK TREATMENT DO WE OFFER AT THE POLYCLINIC MAKEOVER?

In the treatment of stretch marks in our clinic, we use a COMBINED approach, that includes chemical peels, microneedling and mesotherapy.

In mesotherapy and microneedling, we use special cocktails intended for the correction of this defect. These are a combination of hyaluronic acid and a specially formulated biorevitalizing complex.

We also use growth factors and pure collagen – preparations of renowned world companies.

We place special emphasis on the benefits of using a patient’s own blood (PRP and PRF) when treating stretch marks.

MEDICAL AESTHETIC AND ANTI-AGE

A combination of 4-6 treatments at intervals of 3-4 weeks is usually recommended.

After that, depending on the result, a further treatment strategy is planned.

The procedure is painless and does not require any recovery.

The duration of the procedure depends on the size of the area to be treated, as well as the combination of procedures that is chosen separately for each patient.
